Gadgirth Estate Lodges are located close to some of the best golf courses in Scotland.
Including Royal Troon, Dundonald Links, Turnberry, Western Gailes and Prestwick to name just a few.

Beaches

The well known beaches at Ayr, Prestwick, Troon, Barrassie and Irvine are all within easy driving distance of Gadgirth. In addition there are less well known and often smaller beaches at Dunure, Maidens, Turnberry and Culzean offering plenty of alternatives.

Walking

Located on the River Ayr Gadgirth provides easy access to the River Ayr walk itself. Nearby are a wealth of walking trails of varying length including the Ayr coastal path, trails at Culzean Castle and Craufurdland Estate. For the hillwalkers in your group the Merrick Range has a good range of walking routes and scope for rock climbing for those who want to test their nerves.

With a central location Gadgirth is close to a wide range of castles, houses and attractions including Culzean Castle, Dundonald Castle, Craufurdland Estate, Dunure Castle and Dumfries House to name just a small selection.

as well as the beaches, walking and cycling available in the area Gadgirth is close to Heads of Ayr Farm Park which offers great day out for all ages. Also nearby are the adventure playparks at Culzean House, Ayr beach park and Craufurdland Estate.

Exploring further afield

a little further away but all still easily accessible as a day trip is the opportunity to take a ferry across to the Isle of Arran, Millport or the Isle of Bute.
Also within reach of Gadgirth are Edinburgh Zoo, Edinburgh Castle, Blair Drummond Safari Park, Glasgow Museums, Loch Lomond and Stirling Castle.

– it is Scotland and we are realistic that there will be some days that the sun doesn’t shine and indoor activities are the best option. There are cinemas in Ayr and Kilmarnock, Gaiety Theatre in Ayr and Silverburn Shopping centre on the south side of Glasgow is only a 40minute drive from Gadgirth.
